Here is one of those “I’ll believe it when I see it” things. Basically two guys claim to have found a carcas of a “bigfoot” in Georgia and plan to have a press conference to release DNA evidence this Friday. Seriously guys, why not do it today?

I heard about this on the news today on Fox News I believe but in searching their website and CNN’s and there is nothing. I found this on the Inquirer’s website. So what does that tell you? It tells me that the press is paying attention and possibly just mis-reporting other rumors or it could be that the Associated Press guys are just being cautious because they don’t have any confirmed informaiton. Here are some of the vital statistics on the “Bigfoot” body: *The creature is seven feet seven inches tall. *It weighs over five hundred pounds. *The creature looks like it is part human and part ape-like. *It is male. *It has reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes. *It has two arms and two legs, and five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot. *The feet are flat and similar to human feet. *Its footprint is sixteen and three-quarters inches long and five and three-quarters inches wide at the heel. *From the palm of the hand to the tip of the middle finger, its hands are eleven and three-quarters inches long and six and one-quarter inches wide. *The creatures walk upright. (Several of them were sighted on the same day that the body was found.) *The teeth are more human-like than ape-like. *DNA tests are currently being done and the current DNA and photo evidence will be presented at the press conference on Friday, August 15th.

Anyway if this is true it’s kinda cool, but seriously what are we going to do, track them down, hunt them? Put them in a zoo?

Update, here is the website of the guys who claim to have found bigfoot. Their website looks like a 5 year old put it together though.. what do you expect from the state that brought us Deliverance. Here is a more local news station reporting it CBS affiliate.

Update 9:28CDT: BAMN. Fox News has now posted the article. So either it is getting more legit or its just an internet rumor feeding frenzy.
