That, right there, will become the new joke about choking at the big moment and failing to live up to potential. It will be used as follows:
“Man, I thought Pylorns was going to win that proposal but then he went 18-1 in the presentation.”
This, to note, is not to diminish the New York Giants- a team who just played its best game together in one of the best Super Bowl games I’ve witnessed. That team played its hearts out, and Eli Manning was clutch in a way I’ve never seen before. So, congratulations to them for a well-deserved win.
That being said… man, that flight home for the Patriots and their fans is gonna SUUUUCK.

Hot damn.
I’m riding high upon a wave of euphoria, tempered only by the wish that I were watching the game back home in Austin with my friends or in Baton Rouge with my family.
This had better silence the critics of Les Miles, who’s had to deal with more crap than any other coach simply because he followed the almighty Saban. This should earn him the right to tell everyone who has badmouthed him for three years to screw off.
This should place LSU within the pantheon of national teams of dominance- teams that have earned the legendary status of their programs.
I feel a small twinge of sadness, as this also concludes my favorite time of the year- the college football season. It will be a long nine months before we see the beauty of another Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium.
For now though… for now, I’ll savor this.
LSU Tigers, national champions.

I’ve just finished watching one of the best pro football games I’ve seen in ages, and it wasn’t ever even close.
The New Orleans Saints, long the nomads of the NFL, have returned home. In the process, they beat the Atlanta Falcons and improved to 3-0.
The Saints have come home. It’s not a huge step forward in the progress of New Orleans rebuilding. That being said, it was an emotional and moral leap forward for a city beleagered by the crushing reality of Katrina fo the past 13 months.
The Saints are home. And although not all is right with the world, a little piece of it feels right again.

I’m pretty certain that you will hear the following sometime in the immediate future:
“LSU Redshirt Freshman Ryan Perrilloux announced today that he is transferring to the University of Texas.”
Think about it. As a redshirt, he won’t have to sit out a year and lose a year of eligibility. He has two quarterbacks ahead of him in the depth charts at LSU, and the second-string QB just had the game performance of the year for LSU. I’d bet that we see this happen, and soon.

As I’m typing this, Vince Young is declaring that he is going to enter the NFL draft. I’m sure more will be available shortly at ESPN’s website shortly.
Oh, that other sound you hear? That’s the sound of New Orleans Saints fans also shitting themselves, given that now they have to wait for the Saints management to choose between either the logical choices of either Young or Matt Leinart, or something completely insane and stupid.
Given our draft history, I’d bet on “insane and stupid” anyday.

Heh.
Heh heh.
BWAHAHHAHAAHAAHAA!!!!!!!
BURN IN HELL, PETE CARROLL!!! F USC!!!!
Oh, and thank you, UT, for proving every single media outlet that said USC would walk away with the title wrong. From an LSU fan who’s ALWAYS going to be bitter, it’s sweet to see USC fall and Pete Carroll lose.

I am, of course, referring to the Tennessee Volunteers, who were beaten for the first time today by the South Carolina Gamecocks at home, 16-15.
Honestly, I just wanted to be able to write that title. That’s all.
