Yes kids, after 68 years of stringing along the girl next door and mooching off the pretty rich girl, Archie Andrews is going to make a woman of… someone.
Speculation is running amok on the internetz, with some bloggers reporting that this will just be another dream issue, with one storyline showing Archie marrying Betty, and another with him and Veronica.
Heated debates on the subject are springing up everywhere. For example, between myself and my roommate.
Ward: They are getting married as teens?? You know it’s going to be Betty.
Me: I know, right? If he married Veronica her dad would cut her off, and she hasn’t done a single issue without a credit card.
Ward: I mean, the older ones he was actually with Ron but lately it’s all Betty.
Me: DO NOT ABBREVIATE LIKE YOU AND VERONICA ARE FRIENDS.
Archie #600 is scheduled to ship to comics shops Aug. 19 and newsstands Sept. 8. The 32-page issue retails for $2.50.

in real life we’re pretty unbearable, but in short segments we can be kind of entertaining.
another example:
me: what is the difference between twitter and facebook status?
ward: i think twitter is better for people you wouldn’t actually call your friends

Interesting turn of events.
I used to read Archie when I was younger. Wonder what will happen to the comic.
