On my macbook I have SSL setup to use for my godaddy hosted email account.  Aparently iphones don’t like SSL much.  Useful tip, if you have a www.godaddy.com hosting account for your domain and/or email – turn off SSL for both your outgoing and incoming.  This sorta sucks because you loose that added layer of security, but hey, its not like email is really secure anyway – if your doing business you’ll be using exchange and that is through a VPN, but personal email… oh well.
