Ever since the dissolution of Ma Bell the quality of phone service in the united states has dropped off consistently. Since there is no real competition for cellular service in this country, companies can set prices, and service levels, and we are forced to buy with them.

For all the talk that big companies do of great service and wonderful features, the fact is there are too many movies on my phone, and not enough places where I can send and receive a phone call.

If I have to go through a customer service rep to for a problem, I feel like it is more in my favor to just but a new damn phone. Which is, of course, the point.
