The last two days, we’ve been watching the 4 HOUR LONG season premiere of 24. With the return of the Jack Bauer Power Hour (Thank you, TelevisionWithoutPity.com) there are alreadya few thoughts some of us are in agreement over:

Okay, here we go. There will be spoiler info in this, so be warned.

- Jack Bauer? Big balls. BIG balls.

- I had kinda known a tiny bit about the beginning of the episode, but that didn’t stop the following thoughts in my head.

“Hey, it’s Principal Wood from buffy the- WHAT THE HELL DID THEY JUST DO?!? Oh, man. Hey, cool. Michelle looks hot toni- HOLY SHIT!~! Aww, that sucks- NOT HIM TOO! Jeez. Hey, Chloe did it with that guy! She’s human after all.”

- Speaking of which, Chloe? Kinda looked pretty hot in the first couple of hours. Maybe it’s the fact she wasn’t in total darkness. Plus, she smiled a couple times. Mary Lynn Raksjub has a nice smile, and it really makes her look less the butterface when she smiles.

- I’m telling ya- BIG balls on Bauer. The shot of him killing the assassin was just plain badass, and everything afterwards with him just had this air of “They pulled me back in, and I’m going to kill them all for it” to it.

- To answer the question, no I don’t think Jack and his landlord Diane are an item. However, I can see them becoming one before the end of the season. Doesn’t hurt that Derek, the son, will probably WORSHIP Jack after the airport situation.

- President Logan? Total fucking asshole douchebag. Ohh, I hate that guy- so, good work by the actor there. The constant character trait of making sure anything he did looked good was very effective, especially tonight when he stood up to announce the rescue of the airport hostages. You just KNOW the Russian president is sitting there thinking “prick.”

-The First Lady, I’m really warming up to as a character. bad enough she has her own issues and knows it, but to now be fucked with by the renegade staffer guy just adds layer on top of layer. Plus… Jean Smart, to put it bluntly, still looks damn good for a woman in her late 40s especially with those gratuitous bra shots. S’all I’m sayin’.

- I can’t wait for the first meeting between Audrey and Jack. Let’s see, he’s responsible for the death of her husband who she was reconciling with, and faked his own death in the same day. Plus, he’s apparently got a possible future thing with the attractive redhead mom he’s been renting the room from.

Nah, nothing can go wrong there.

- Cool Detail- the current big bad guy is the former lead from the Canadian show “Forever Knight.” Loved that show back in the day, until they fucked it up in the final season.

- I still think that somehow, someway the Chinese are behind everything that happened with Jack so far, as well as the other deaths. I think they found out about Jack faking his deatha nd are bringing him out in the open to make him pay.

That’s all I have, so far. Looks like another good season coming up.
