Aim and Advertistment

Have you seen this? I know it just started a couple days ago but its annoying as hell. I don’t care what political party is promoting or what company is pushing their product. I don’t want another ad to pop up and live audio and video to be pushed to my desktop.
Aside from the ad popping up, it also launches java on my computer - and while I have it for occasional web browsing, it isnt a part of my every day computer use. It takes up a bit of resources and it also from time to time is unstable. So sometimes Aol Instant messagner will just crash. Look away and the whole program is gone.
Now I understand that AIM is free, and to keep it free they have to do advertisements, but they have crossed the line when their software branches out and effects other portions of my computer.
