Pylorns Web Tips 101

posted by pylorns

In browsing blogs lately I’ve come accross a lot of blogs that have good content, but I find myself not wanting to really read them because the page doesnt have enough eye candy. So here are some random tips from the great book of pylorns web tips…

Tip #1657:
If you put as much thought into your webpage design as you do your writing you will have a huge number of readers. If you don’t know how to do web design, ask for help, spend a bit of money.

Tip #37:
Ask yourself why you are blogging. When you read your page, is it for your own personal diary? Is it for others to read and enjoy? If you want others to go to your site. Obvisouly you do if your coming from blogsexplosion; you want more readers. Now ask yourself if the content you have on your site, is it “content worthy”. When you go to someone elses site and they had something like what you have, would you stop and read it?

Tip #597:
To drive up traffic, and readers, you yourself must be a reader. Frequent other blogs and comment. Commenting is what lets the person know you have read what they have written for your pleasure.

Tip # 1494:
Pictures: Post pictures from time to time wether its personal or its something you’re linking to. Pictures grab attention more than a page of words and letters.

Now you’re reading all this and you say, “Pylorns you haven’t done everything, I mean all you got on your site is some cartoon characters.”

Piss off. I had them done and they actually resemble people who post here including myself. I put money into them. What the hell have you done lately to promote your site besides blogsexplosion?

Theres the rub.
