One of the finer joys of an adult single life is a day where you have nothing to do. No plans, no required appearances, no work. It’s just a day to yourself.

I had one of those days today, and after the busy week I’m coming from I needed it today. Woke up around 9 AM- nowadays, this is a late morning for me. I dicked around the apartment for a while, then went out and got groceries.  The rest of the day was devoted to relaxation- and my oh my, it was nice.

Watched the movie Love Actually with the commentary- quite funny.

Turned on the Big Brother live feed- always entertaining. No comments needed from the rogue’s gallery, I know I’m obsessed with the show.

Started reading an old book a friend loaned me- eh.

Began writing some stories I’ve bee outlining and thinking about for a long time.

Oh- and I got stormed on by the rain that came through the area earlier. Nothing like running with 30 bucks worth of groceries to your car in a storm, throwing them in, and sorting out the mess once you get home.

So, all in all it’s been a quite pleasant day. Plus, you now what? I’m in a good mood right now. It’s a rare moment of personal pleasantness and I’m not one to question it- well… I am, but not today. Today, I’m just gonna relax.
