Wetwired Time Friday, November 21st, 2003 at 6:07 pm by pylorns

You know that song Friday night, just got paid, money in my pocket… Yeah that’s what I’m screaming. Check out the pic I took on my way home of 620 and 35 and the sunset. Perfect evening, so now I just need to find out where I’m going. What’s happening in Austin tonight?

More on taking your own life…

Wetwired Time Friday, November 21st, 2003 at 10:08 am by pylorns

Di’s friend Chris took his own life this past tuesday. Aparently I may have been in highschool with him, but I don’t remeber him. He would have been much younger than myself.

Joke to start out Friday.

Wetwired Time Friday, November 21st, 2003 at 8:23 am by pylorns

This came from Figment:

Smart boy

Old man sitting on his front porch in Louisiana watching the sunrise sees the neighbor’s kid walk by carrying something big under his arm.

He yells out, “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

The boy yells back, “Roll of chicken wire.”

The old man says, “What you gonna do with that?”

The boy says, “Catch some chickens.”

The old man yells, “You damn fool, you can’t catch chickens with chicken wire!”

The boy just laughs and keeps walking.

That evening at sunset the boy comes walking by and to the old man’s surprise, he is dragging behind him the chicken wire with about 30 chickens caught in it.

At the same time the next morning, the old man is out watching the sunrise and he sees the boy walk by carrying something kind of round in his hand.

The old man yells out, “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

The boy yells back, “Roll of duck tape.”

The old man says, “What you gonna do with that?”

The boy says back, “Catch me some ducks.”

The old man yells back, “You damn fool, you can’t catch ducks with duck tape!”

The boy just laughs and keeps walking.

That night, around sunset, the boy walks by coming home and to the old man’s amazement, he is trailing behind him the unrolled roll of duck tape with about 35 ducks caught in it.

At the same time the next morning, the old man sees the boy walking by carrying what looks like a long reed with something fuzzy on the end.

The old man says, “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

The boy says, “It’s a pussy willow.”

The old man says “Hold on, I’ll get my hat.”

Templates

Wetwired Time Thursday, November 20th, 2003 at 11:07 pm by pylorns

Wow, found some really cool templates over at pixel scripts. These templates are for diaryland type blogs, but they can be modified for regular blogger and/or possibly movable type. In this case I have updated Di’s site with one of the templates. Now she has some configuring to do, but for the most part it went seemlessly.

Depressing Day…

Wetwired Time Thursday, November 20th, 2003 at 1:05 pm by pylorns

Why is Thursday such a depressing day? Both Helen and Emily are posting about suicide. I guess its days like this that I am glad that I chose psychology as a future profession. My philosophy has always been that, with time, everything works itself out. Even when it seems like everything is completely against you, the world hates you. Things just have a way of working out. It’s like a scale, a balancing act. Sometimes one side outwieghs the other, other times its the other way around. But things work out because someone or something (event) will put a weight on one end to bring the scale back into balance. The same thing happens to the Earth, when things aren’t right, it cleanses itself. It sets things right again, through a series of huge events. At least, in the perspective of a planatary scale.

Why do people consider suicide? There are so many reasons, and so many different aspects to human nature. But human nature is to survivie. So to end your life, rather to end it with your own hand, is to go against human nature, which is just about imposible. Hence, while you are doing it, you are thinking, ‘I shouldn’t do this,’ ‘What If?’ That is that little voice saying ‘this is wrong.’ If it was not against human nature then more people would just say ‘fuck it’ and kill themselves; and we’d probably have a rash of suicides from all of the stressful jobs in our modern lives. Instead, we have people that attempt, and this is, a cry for help. My only hope is that anyone that reaches out gets some aspect of help. Otherwise the scale will not get a weight on the other side.

Some might argue that its survival of the fittest. Extreme Darwinism you might say. Our world population is too crowded as it is, you might say. What if Einstein had committed suicide from the pressures of his time? Oh yes, he too had fits of depression.

So to you two who posted about your issues, you’re brave. And we are glad that your cry for help was noticed and not left unheard. Who knows what you will discover in the comming years.

Stars we find attractive series…

Wetwired Time Thursday, November 20th, 2003 at 9:44 am by pylorns

Rachel Weisz was born on the 7th March, 1971 in London, England to Ruth, a Jewish-Austrian psychoanalyst and George, a Jewish-Hungarian inventor. So if you’re like Don and like jewish women, you’ll definetly like her.

Rachel’s first real movie where she was noticed was Stealing Beuty with Liv Tyler. Her claim to fame I think was when she did the blockbuster hit The Mummy. And then more recently Enemy at the Gates where she shows a little skin, with Jude Law.

Rachel currently lives in London where she donates a good portion of her time to the charity X Appeal. A little more research and found out that she attended Cambridge University in England, but haven’t found out her name.

She has a light brittish accent, and has a light that glows around her in her movies. And keeping with the theme I just noticed that all the women we’ve picked have been brunettes. Maybe I got a thing for brunettes… ok I’ll find a blonde actress. I know just the one too.

Immunity Winner is….

Wetwired Time Thursday, November 20th, 2003 at 8:33 am by pylorns

Helen won the immunity challenge, though it was pretty close. Anyway not exactly a consolation prize for loosing your job, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Good luck Helen. You know there isn’t a person out there that won’t go out of their way to help you out. Course it could be the fact that they just want to hear more about you and the wetwired crew and that trip to Bora Bora…

Song Lyric

Now I’m walking again, to the beat of a drum. And I’m counting the steps to the door of your heart.

Thriller…

Wetwired Time Wednesday, November 19th, 2003 at 12:57 pm by pylorns

CNN Reports that Mikey has done it again. this time they have searched his house and come up with evidence that supports issuing a warrant for his arrest of child molestation.

“A rogues’ gallery of hucksters and self-styled ‘inside sources’ have dominated the airwaves since reports of a search of Neverland broke, speculating, guessing and fabricating information about an investigation they couldn’t possibly know about,” he said.

What do you think they found? Any guesses? Pictures of Mike and some kid? Sex toys? Some kid tied up? Or is it just another attempt to throw an innocent white woman in jail… er did I say that?

Google..

Wetwired Time Wednesday, November 19th, 2003 at 12:34 pm by pylorns

If you go to Google and do a search on “Austin Texas Blog” wetwired is #1. If you do a search for Paris Hilton Sex Tape.. we’ll were in there somewhere do to a post I posted a long time ago. Don is trying to cash in on my idea that I stole from Jim complaining.. The Idea, to see how much traffic it generates. Hell, what else have I got to do? Ok.. so I have a lot, but besides the point.

Stars we find attractive II

Wetwired Time Wednesday, November 19th, 2003 at 11:49 am by pylorns

The second actress that we think its irrisistatble is Qi Shu. She was born in Taiwan in 1976 and is of Taiwanese nationality. Her name is spelled in a variety of ways, including: Hsu Qi, Hsu Chi, Qi Shu, Shu Kei and there are quite a few other variations on her name on foreign VCDs, DVDs and Internet sites.

I first saw her in The Transporter where she stared with Jason Statham. She had to quickly learn English, for the film, and in the commentary Jason said when he first met her she didn’t speak any, and later in a few months she came back and was nearly fluent.

We like her because she is tall on screen, fiesty, and not afraid to bare all. She has an innocent look about her as well that is a bit alluring.

Provance

Wetwired Time Wednesday, November 19th, 2003 at 10:02 am by pylorns

I signed up for this new site to get hits called Provance. Now I never really paid attention to who was on the link exchange. I am quickly realizing, all the sites are really well designed, but almost everyone on this is under the age of 17. Did I miss something?

Survivor immunity

Wetwired Time Wednesday, November 19th, 2003 at 9:03 am by pylorns

Go here to vote for the survivor immunity. This week its a slogan for http://angermanagement.mu.nu. I’m interested to find out who wins this one. Also Helen did not make it out from her company unscathed. She got the axe.
