I’ll post this now before the site shits itself again… this is what is happening with my host:

Date: March 18, 2002
Time: 3:00 pm Mountain Time (1000 GMT)
Our Virtual Server Eclipse, went offline for approximately 35 minutes today due to a power supply failure. Our technicians switched the drive over to a backup server. The server is back up.

Update
Time: 3:50 pm Mountain Time (1050 GMT)
Eclipse went back down due to a kernal panic and is currently being rebooted. We are unsure at this time if was related to the power outage. Our technicians will evaluate the cause once the server is back online.

A fsck was needed and the server took longer than normal to fsck. Although the reboot is done, the server is still not back online. Our technicians are researching the problem. There is no ETA at this time. We will provide an update as soon as we know more.

Our technicians have moved the drives back into the original system and put a different power supply in to rule out hardware issues in the second box (which we strongly suspect at this point). Although the server is back up, it is possible that some files have been damaged. We may need to recover those from our backup files. Please verify your sites and if you have problems, please open a Help Desk ticket. We will be archiving the backup from last night in the event you find a problem later down the road. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while resolving this issue.

Update 7:40pm Mountain Time (1440 GMT)
We appear to be having some email problems. We are going to reboot Eclipse in about 5 minutes. Assuming the server behaves as expected, the down time should only be a few minutes.
